Print Invitations From your PHONE at Walgreens for Your Direct Sales Business

Posted on

Do what?! You can totally print invitations for your hostesses right from your phone. Like, I’m sitting at home…I log into my Walgreens app, I order 4×6 PICTURES of my invitations and can drive my happy lil butt to Walgreens ON THE WAY to my hostesses house to drop off her packet!

You can do this with your Redstamp invitations too!

Ok, so here goes! We’re doing a BINGO night once a month. And I have these fun little invitations that I made for my hosts. She needs at least 5 of them to pass out to her friends. But printing the paper ones was simply B_O_R_I_N_G. And it wasn’t really “pretty” or professional looking at all.

I had Night Owl Custom Design create this invitation for me. Because I like cute things. So this is something I will use every month in my own business, worth the very small fee to have someone create it for me, right? You can check out her page for any fliers or business things you need. But below, I’ll show you how I take this invitation and print as photos from Walgreens in a matter of 10 minutes!

So all I do each month, is go in and change this information on date/time/location for the specific month. Then I pull up this app on my phone:

Now your app will look like this and you’ll click on “photo” and then “print from phone”

Now you can order photos for 29 cents a piece and pick them up in, normally, 10 minutes! So I can literally order them on the way to my hostesses house and drop them in her packet on the way there.

I had seen this idea posted in a Facebook group a long time ago, but I hadn’t tried it and I can’t remember WHO posted the idea to give them credit! I got into a pinch and decided to go for it. And I was THRILLED with the results. No more wasting ink and no more ghetto designs for me! I finally caved and had Kim design this invitation for me and had them printed. LOVE and just thought I’d share!!

Create a Google Form for your Hostess to Get Her Guest List to You!

Posted on Updated on

I’m trying something NEW and FUN for invitations to my direct sales party!

I created a virtual Guest list form for my hostesses. They can send this link to their friends and family via Facebook, text, or email to get their guest list filled out.

Why would this help me AND the hostess?

1. They have multiple avenues to send it to people

2. They don’t have to mail it back to me

3. I can post it in their Facebook event

4. I have contact information to add to my contact base

5. I have multiple ways to send invitations and reminders

6. And I always have her party’s contact information stored

Check out this “mock” survey I created so you can see what one looks like. DO NOT FILL OUT THE SURVEY!

I created this form in Google Forms. All you have to do is google….Google Forms, to create your own survey.

I created the picture to go in the form, from, which is a free site where you can create pictures.

So what will I do with this information?

1. I will send them a mini catalog with party information. Each invitation I send has a #. I call one # at the party. And if that person has their invitation on them, they win a prize.

2. If my hostess re-books in the future, I still have her guest list.

3. I can send a “targeted” mailing in the future to all of her guests because I still have access to her guest list.

4. I can send a text reminder a couple of days before the party, to remind everyone. And one the day of the party.

5. In the reminder text, I can also post a link to her party in case they can’t make it

6. I can also send an email invitation to her guest list.

7. On her Facebook event, I can post this link with an incentive for filling it out to get their catalog. Just another way to increase attendance and gain more contacts.

When you’re working in Direct Sales, it’s so important to have multiple ways of inviting people to the party. With this form, it makes creating the guest list a BREEZE. It’s going to take some pressure off of the hostess by having her guests fill out the information FOR her.

So here’s to trying new things in your Direct Sales business for 2015! WOOT WOOT for change and SIMPLE~EASY~FUN!

And you know what’s really cool? There’s an APP for your google forms! So you can access all this party information directly from the Google Drive app on your phone! WOOOHOO for….”there’s an APP for that 🙂 ”

Mailing Invitations to Your Hostess-It’s Not a Thing of the Past

Posted on Updated on

So I want to tell you about my party last night. There is a National Direct Sales Trainer that is telling people paper invitations are a thing of the past. She is literally telling them NOT to mail invitations. To use Twitter, Instagram, FB, and text instead. Well….I beg to differ! In a HUGE way! So let me tell you why you SHOULD mail invitations.

My party last night:

12 guests who varied from late 20’s to age 70.

In my hostess packet, my hostess gets a sheet of address labels. She also gets a self stamped and addressed envelope to easily mail them back to me.  I have always told them they get $5 off their order if they mail them back to me.

Now…just lately, I started really working on getting my guest attendance AND sales up. And this is what I came up with:

Stickers! Lots of them!

numbered invites

So I mail a mini catalog. On the front, there is a circle sticker that explains they will get a gift if they help their hostess and collect $50 in outside orders (from their friends and family) and bring them to the party.

The small rectangle sticker, says…bring this invitation to the party. If your number is called, you win a free gift!

And then the big label is of course the hostesses information about the party.

So #1: every single guest brought their invitation to the party. And they were immediately asking when the invitation drawing was going to be announced. So….these people carried my invitations around for a MONTH. I’d say that is a success.

#2: One person brought TWO guests to the party. Nothing on my invitation stated anything about guests. But they accounted for $100 in extra orders. So you better believe I’ll be making a sticker and incentive for THAT from now on.

#3: TWO people brought outside orders from their friends and were ready for their free gift. Both found me as soon as they walked in. “here’s my outside order, do i still get a gift for that?” That resulted in $110 in outside orders for my hostess.  I also put this flier on the inside of the mini catalog to reiterate “collect outside orders to help your hostess”. here’s the picture of that flier below:

collect orders insert

And here’s a close up of the circle sticker on the front

collect orders

I make all these labels from home. Circle stickers are 2 inch. Big label is 2×4. And I don’t know what the mini one is, but there are 60 to a sheet. So that should help:)

So long story short…mailing invitations is NOT a thing of the past. I had $200 EXTRA in orders because of my invitations that I mailed.  And I have at least five hostesses a month who send me back those address labels. It’s all in your approach. It’s the FIRST thing I point out to my hostess.  “this will help you increase your free product. It’s very important that you get these back to me 2 weeks before your party. AND…if you don’t know someone’s address, it’s a great way to call them and personally invite them when you get their address. A personal invite will go a long way to making someone feel like you really want them there.” That is what I tell my hostesses! And it WORKS!

I challenge you to try mailing invitations for your hostess!
